William Donald Neil, 87, of LaGrange, GA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019.

Mr. Neil was born Feb. 24, 1932 in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Robert Neil and Dorthea Neil. He was also preceded by his brother Bob Neil.

He is survived by his lovely wife Dolores Neil; nephews, Scott Neil, David Neil and Jim Neil; nieces, Arlean James, Lila James and Mary Ann Jeffers; brother-in-law, Anthony James, Wallace (Margaret) Simmons; sister-in-law, Barbara Neil.

Mr. Neil is a veteran of the United States Army. He was a musician and enjoyed playing the piano. He also was an outdoorsman with a love for flowers and nature.

A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. The gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.

Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to the Troup County Humane Society.
