Lady Cavaliers get first region win

The Callaway Lady Cavaliers beat Temple 48-30 on Friday night for their first Region 5-AA win of the season after two losses.
Sophomore post player Camryn Stargell led Callaway (2-7 overall) with 19 points, and she pulled down 18 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Gabrielle Johnson, Callaway’s leading scorer this season, added 18 points.
In the boys’ game, Callaway had a tough shooting night on the way to a 47-41 loss.
The Cavaliers fell to 1-2 in the region.
Callaway’s teams visit Spencer on Saturday, with the girls’ game tipping off at 6 p.m., and the boys’ game to follow.
