LaGrange Academy falls at home

The LaGrange Academy Lady Warriors took a seven-point lead into the final quarter, but it was Brandon Hall rallying for a 48-42 victory on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, Brandon Hall eased to a 68-39 victory in a boys’ game that began at 2 p.m.
In the girls’ game, LaGrange Academy was ahead 32-25 as the final quarter began, but Brandon Hall rallied.
After trailing by seven points with 2:15 to play, LaGrange Academy got within three on a Kelsey Cotton basket with 35 seconds left, but Brandon Hall scored the game’s final three points from the free-throw line.
Ivey Portis led LaGrange Academy with 14 points, and Kelsey Cotton (13 points) and Kayla McBride (12 points) were also in double figures in scoring.
In the boys’ game, LaGrange Academy kept it close early before Brandon Hall pulled away.
Brandon Hall was clinging to a 21-16 lead after the first quarter, but it extended that lead to 41-21 at the half.
Brandon Hall continued to pull away in the second half to win by 29 points.
Elijah Godfrey and Jack Keating led the Warriors with six points apiece, and Andrew Knight and Mark Mittasch had four points each.
LaGrange Academy hosts St. George’s Friday, and it will be homecoming.
