Troup falls to Blessed Trinity

The Troup Tigers, hoping to pull off a first-round victory in the state tournament, instead fell to Blessed Trinity 75-56 on Friday night.

Blessed Trinity, the number two seed from Region 7-AAAA, advanced to the round of 16 with the win over a Troup team that finished third in Region 5-AAAA.

Gabe Cofield made three 3-pointers and scored 12 points, Camren O’Neal had 11 points, Jaquavious Whitfild added 10 points, and K.J. Tucker had eight points.

It was the final game for Troup’s five seniors, Trey Williams, Qua Johnson, Gabe Cofield, Isaiah Cox and Camren O’Neal.
