Troup falls to Northside-Columbus

The Troup Tigers were limited to two hits by a pair of Northside-Columbus pitchers on Tuesday in a 3-0 loss.

Will Graydon and Conner Sizemore combined for the shutout, and they each gave up just one hit.

Northside scored all three of its runs in the fifth inning.

Colton Webb started for Troup and pitched three shutout innings, and he didn’t give up any hits while striking out three.

Daniel Martin threw the final three innings for Troup.

Ethan Morton and Grayson Garner had Troup’s only hits.

On Monday, Troup was beaten by Valley 6-2.

Jackson Sanders, an eighth-grader, pitched a complete-game two-hitter for the Rams.

Cole Garner started and pitched four innings for Troup, and Grayson Garner and Devon Murphy each threw one inning.

Luke Purnell and Daniel Martin had Troup’s only hits, and Purnell had an RBI.

Troup scored both of its runs in the sixth inning.
