Busy week for Troup tennis

It was a busy few days for the Troup High tennis teams, who played back-to-back home matches on Wednesday and Thursday.

After beating Valley on Wednesday, Troup lost to Region 5-AAAA foe Central-Carroll on Thursday.

Central-Carroll won the boys’ match 4-1, with Zach Taylor giving Troup its lone win at number two singles.

In the girls’ match, Central won 5-0.

Here are the results of the Valley and Central-Carroll matches.

No. 1 singles – Megan Ford (V) beat Maley McDonald, 8-4

No. 2 singles – Reese Bryson (V) beat Katie Wingate, 8-6
