Chic-Fil-A is temporarily closing its dining rooms to limit person-to-person contact to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
“Some of our restaurants may only offer service through our drive-thrus, while others may be able to offer takeout, delivery or mobile order options,” a statement from the company read. “Thanks for your patience. We know these are challenging times, but we’ll continue to do our best to serve you.”
LaGrange has two Chick-fil-As, one on Lafayette Parkway and one on Commerce Avenue. Both posted similar messages on social media Sunday.
“Due to a myriad of reasons having to do with COVID-19, Chick-fil-A Lafayette Parkway will close its dining room and restrooms beginning Monday, 3/16,” read one of the posts. “Our Drive-Thru will be fully operational and we will be ready to serve you with a smile. Please note we cannot allow anyone in the building for any reason. Restrooms will not be available. Mobile orders will only be available through the Drive-Thru. Any catering orders will also be available for pick up through the Drive-Thru. We will be fully staffed and prepared to give you the highest level of Chick-fil-A experience.”
The statement also said that no local staff members have coronavirus.
“We have had no known cases of COVID-19 on our team and we do not have knowledge of any cases from our guests,” the statement said. “Please know this is precautionary and meant to provide the highest level of protection to our community. Thank you for support and understanding. We have the best community and we will, no doubt, get through this together!”
