MARY OPAL WOOD

1927-2020

Mrs. Mary Opal Wood, 92, of LaGrange, passed away on May 8, 2020, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. 

Mrs. Wood was born on June 9, 1927, in Centralhatchee, Georgia, to the late Lonnie Steele and Fannie Bradley Steele.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Wood; son, Wayne Wood; daughter, Cathy Wood. 

With her husband, they owned and operated Leonard Wood Curb Market for many years. 

Survivors include her son, Allen Wood; grandchildren, Michael Wood (Stefanie), Scott Wood, Robert Wood, Brice Wood, Kerri Wood Baker (Michael) and Kendall Wood Dukes (Justin); great grandchildren, Mikaela, Steven, Savannah, Anderson, Easton, Layne, Griffin and Noah; extended family and friends. 

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family will have a private service at the Shadowlawn Mausoleum.
