The LaGrange Daily News is now accepting nominations for its third annual 20 Under 40 class of LaGrange and Troup County community leaders.
To ensure the most comprehensive list of young leaders is selected for this year’s edition, the newspaper is conducting a community-wide vote for the class of 2020, allowing subscribers and community members to nominate their deserving friends, family and co-workers for consideration in this section.
As a refresher, the LDN’s annual 20 Under 40 special section highlights a group of 20 community leaders under the age of 40 who are serving their community in important and influential ways. These individuals can be serving in any number of fields, including the fields of business, civic service, religion, education, health and wellness and/or athletics.
Nominees must primarily conduct business in Troup County, Georgia and be under age 40 as of May 1, 2020.
The deadline for nominations is May 31 and those selected will be notified the following week. Names will not be made public until the 20 Under 40 special section is published in July. To nominate someone, find the link on the top of our Facebook page.
Directions for submitting nominations are below:
You must complete the entire nomination form. Incomplete forms will not be considered, but uploading a resume or supporting document is not required.
Self-nominations are allowed. However, a verifiable reference is required in order for self-nominations to qualify.
Please include details in your nominations. We suggest avoiding simply saying a nominee is a “good,” “hard-working” or a “kind” person. Add examples.
