Man taken to hospital in LaGrange after hit in head with bat

A local man has been taken to an Atlanta-area hospital after getting struck in the head with a baseball bat during a verbal altercation.
According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, officers responded to 150 Turner Street around 8:30 p.m. in reference to an injured person. Officers made contact with a man who was bleeding from his head area.
Officers determined the man and Henry Workman had been involved in a verbal altercation. According to the press release, Workman struck the victim in the head with the bat during the argument. Workman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The victim was listed as stable and did not appear to have life-threatening injuries, according to LPD.
