Mr. Rodney Marion Allen, 73, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at West Georgia Hospice.
He was married to Sharon Pollard Allen and they shared 50 beautiful years of marriage together.
Mr. Allen was born on Oct. 3, 1946, in Clayton, Georgia, to the late Jack Marion Allen and the late Vy Kesler Allen.
He attended LaGrange High School where he received his diploma in 1964. He joined the Army immediately following his high school career and served in the Vietnam War from April 1965 to May 1966 and concluded his Military service in Germany in 1968.
Upon returning to LaGrange, he began his career at Farmer’s Supply Store. He then worked as a salesman for Mike Patton Mazda before retiring in 2005 from Loy’s Office Supplies as the Forms Division Manager.
Rodney was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
He loved taking road trips on his Harley Davidson with his best friend, Richard Coffey. Rodney loved working outside in his yard but loved spending time with friends and family and playing with all of his grandchildren most of all.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon; children and their spouses, Larry Allen (Tiffany), Ashlie Roa (Amado), and Kristen Grace Maillet (Jason); grandchildren, Anna Grace Allen, Hayes Allen, Austin Roa, Ace Roa, Kella Grace, Sawyer Grace; step-grandchildren, Dominick Maillet and Gabriel Maillet; siblings, Debby Dutton, Randall Allen (Jennie), DeeAnn Gunter (Greg) Ryan Allen (Sheila); brother-in-law, Eric Pollard (Lee); loyal best friend and his wife, Richard and Theresa Coffey, of Pensacola, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
At the family’s request, memorial services for Mr. Rodney Marion Allen will be announced at a later date.
