The LaGrange Clergy United is hosting a public dialogue Sunday afternoon on Lafayette Square. 

According to a news release from the clergy united, the conversation will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, and will be about racism, reconciliation, and unity. The conversation will also feature a multi-ethnic, interdenominational question-and-answer panel with more than a dozen local pastors.

“Pastor Iris Lovelace and I are in agreement that right now is a critical time for church leaders to talk about these important issues,” said Cade Farris, pastor of First Baptist Church on the Square and event co-coordinator. “We want our community to see that our local churches are united together in love and standing together against racism.”  

The event is sponsored by LaGrange Clergy Fellowship and is free to the public. Justis Ward will also share a music performance with the community. Event organizers ask that attendees follow CDC guidelines, maintaining a six-foot distance, and that they respect the goal and purpose of the event by acting in peace and unity.
