Mrs. Mary Ellen Lane Westbrook, 88, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Westbrook was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Macon, daughter of the late Richard Linton Lane and Mary Bloodworth Lane. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. Mrs. Westbrook was a member of the Pine Needle Garden Club, LaGrange Woman’s Club, and the D.A.R. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas Jacob Westbrook, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Joe (Janice) Westbrook; daughters, Emily (Collier) Jordan and Ellen Avery; grandchildren, Adam (Kandy) Westbrook, Timothy (Shirley) Westbrook, Thomas Avery, Katie (Blake) Trent, Catherine (Dane) Sink, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Wilkinson; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Mrs. Westbrook will have a private graveside service at this time. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to me made to First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, 120 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240 in memory of Mrs. Mary Ellen Lane Westbrook.
