Mrs. Sara Horn Singley, 73, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.

Mrs. Singley was born May 3, 1947, in Roanoke, Alabama, daughter of the late C.T. Horn and Mary Frances Gross Horn. She earned her associate degree in nursing from LaGrange College. Mrs. Singley was a Registered Nurse at West Georgia Medical Center for over thirty years, finishing her career as a hospice nurse with Angels of Hope. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in LaGrange.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David Singley, and her sister Wanda Jane Horn Sanders.

Survivors include her daughter, Darcey S. (Bill) Leis; and son, Darby H. Singley, all of LaGrange; sister Phyllis H. (Denson) Blackston, brothers-in-law Jerry W. (Pam) Singley of Oxford, Georgia, and Steve (Marsha) Singley of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Brenda S. (Ronnie) Nichols of Loganville, Georgia; seven nieces and nephews; and her daughters of the heart, Allison S. Dubovsky of Honolulu, Hawaii, Hope M. Chiles of Oxford, England, Melanie N. Harkleroad of Moreland, Georgia and Tishanna McCutchen of Atlanta, Georgia.

The family will receive friends prior to a Memorial Mass that will be held at a later date, in order to allow as many family and friends to attend in spite of the current coronavirus pandemic.

Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Camp Viola of LaGrange.
