According to information published in the Troup County News (TCN), former Troup County Probate Judge Donald Boyd has been named publisher of the newspaper, which is distributed in Troup County on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Boyd was listed as publisher in the Wednesday, July 15 edition of the TCN. He is also listed as the publisher in the newspaper’s published staff directory.

He spent almost 18 full years as probate judge, retiring at the end of June 2018. He recently ran for the district 4 county commission seat but was defeated by Morris Jones in the Republican primary.

The LaGrange Daily News sought comments from Boyd and TCN owner Al Wyche for this story, but as of our deadline neither had provided any.
