Man charged in Quality Inn shooting
A man wanted for a shooting at the Quality Inn in LaGrange last week has been arrested on aggravated assault-gun and possession of firearm or knife during certain felonies.
Shannon Lamar Scott, 42, of Valley, Alabama was wanted for a shooting that allegedly occurred at the hotel on July 22. Scott allegedly fired a gun and struck a 39-year-old. The victim was flown out to an Atlanta-area hospital, according to Det. Duke with the LPD.
Scott fled the scene in a Chevy truck with Alabama plates, according to the LPD press release. He was arrested in Alabama on Monday, according to Sgt. Robert Kirby.
