Mr. Chaviano Russell passed away Wednesday in Albany, Georgia. He was born Dec. 6, 1967, in LaGrange, Georgia to John Dewy Russell, Jr. and the late Mary Willie Freeman Russell.

“Chep” attended Spirit and Truth Sanctuary in Decatur, Georgia; LaGrange High School and was employed at Five Star Collision Auto in Albany, Georgia at the time of his death.

Survivors includes three children:  Brittany Russell, Corbi Russell, and Immanuel Russell; several grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Faye Holloway (Daniel), Judy Hopkins and Alex Nicholas Russell; and Betty Jean Jackson who took on the task of rearing him as her son after the passing of his mother; his life partner: Chimek Porter; aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery. The excellent care of Mr. Russell is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
