The Callaway Lady Cavaliers made a late push with a three-run fifth inning, but the day belonged to Bremen, which earned the 11-3 victory in a Region 5-AA game on Thursday.
Callaway was trailing 11-0 when it came to life offensively in the bottom of the fifth inning.
With one out, Chaple Butler drove the ball to the outfield fence for a double, and McKenzie Rhodes followed with a walk.
Next up was Mya Lawton, and she came through with a double two drive in two runs, and Lindsay Cofield’s RBI single cut Bremen’s lead to eight.
The rally stalled there, and the game ended after the fifth inning because of the run rule.
Lawton started and pitched two innings for Callaway, and Faith Horton threw the next three innings.
Callaway fell to 1-2 in region play, and it will try to even its region record with a road win over Haralson County on Tuesday.
