GRIFFIN – The Lafayette Christian School Cougars opened the season with an impressive 50-19 road win over Griffin Christian.
It was a rematch of last year’s GICAA state-championship game won by Griffin Christian.
The Cougars found the end zone on offense, and they also got defensive touchdowns from Alex Tusing, Cameron Elliott and Nathan Karvelas.
Offensively, Cason Firth had a big game with multiple long touchdown runs, and Tusing and Dixon also had scoring runs.
OF NOTE: Check back later for more details from the game and the reaction of coach Billy Bryant.
