TCSO investigates shooting at Hog Heaven parking lot

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident from over the weekend where dozens of gunshots were fired after an incident on the 2200 block of West Point Road.
According to a press release from TCSO, deputies were dispatched to the area of West Point Road at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday. They found a white Range Rover blocking the southbound lane of traffic of West Point Road with several bullet holes in the vehicle.
Deputies and investigators began speaking with several people who were in the area and were told they heard about 20 or more gunshots and saw the Range Rover go through a parking lot and struck a vehicle before it came to rest in the roadway. Investigators were able to locate the occupants of the vehicle at a business located on Sage Commercial Drive.
The four males told police that the vehicle was shot at multiple times while pulling into the Hog Heaven parking lot at 2240 West Point Rd. No one inside the vehicle were struck or injured from the gunfire.
