TCSS COVID-19 update: Six students with positive cases, 222 students quarantined

The number of quarantined students rose in the Troup County School System’s latest COVID-19 update, but most of the numbers stayed relatively close to the same from an update earlier this week.

There are six students that currently have a positive case of COVID-19, according to information released by TCSS. That number did not change from Tuesday’s update. The number of students in quarantine rose by 25 since Tuesday to 222.

Seven staff members currently have positive cases of COVID-19, down one from Tuesday’s update. Twenty-four staff members are in quarantine, up three from Tuesday, according to TCSS numbers.

Eighteen schools and departments remain impacted by positive cases or quarantines.
