The Troup County Republican Headquarters has opened its doors at a new location at 104 Church Street in downtown LaGrange.
“We got this building for two months,” said Chair of the Republican Party Helen Rice. “We are getting the word out about early voting and registering to vote. We’re here to call all republicans and remind them about getting out to vote. We’re here to offer transportation if they need it. We’re here to support all of our local candidates and national candidates.”
Rice said every four years they establish a headquarters building to work in during the election season.
The Troup County Republican Party meets the third Tuesday of each month at Highland Country Club.
“We have been doing a lot of executive sessions and staying in touch with everyone,” Rice said. “The Republican Party is a party that believes in fiscal responsibility and in God and country. We’re trying to get the message out that if you have any question please call, come by and pick up the information. Don’t just look and listen to Facebook because you have to be more astute and be educated.”
The Troup County Republican Party’s mission is to educate its members on the issues important to the community and to keep electing Republican candidates in all branches of our government.
Rice said they have Republican candidates campaign merchandise, both on the local level and statewide for those running in the 2020 election.
The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
