Mrs. Betty Jean Towns Simpson, passed, was born May 20, 1949 to Elizabeth Towns Ector.
She attended East Depot High School where she excelled on the track and basketball Teams, and united with Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church.
Betty was employed at the Playtex Plant and retired from Colonial Bakery Company in Atlanta, Georgia.
Survivors include six siblings: Clayton T. (Virginia) Towns, College Park, Georgia; Jeanette Towns (Arthur) Williams, Covington, Georgia; Carl Eugene Towns, LaGrange; Sue Ellen Robinson, Atlanta, Georgia; Tommy Ector, Pine Mountain, Georgia and Jarvis (Juanita) Ector, LaGrange; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at their home at 305 Colquitt Street.
The excellent care of Mrs. Simpson is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
