The Lafayette Society for Performing Arts (LSPA) is kicking off its 2020-2021 season with “The Show Must Go On!” at Sweetland Amphitheatre on Saturday. There are show times at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
“The Show Must Go On!” will feature performances by the Young Singers of West Georgia, Azalea Storytelling Festival, the LaFayette Center for Dance and Ballet Company and the Lafayette Theatre Company and Academy.
“Though this year has been challenging, we’re thrilled to announce our 2020-2021 schedule is underway,” said LSPA Executive Director, Kerri Vice. “We’ve so missed performing and during tough times, the arts are here to provide a sense of community. Our artists are excited to perform for everyone this Saturday.”
“The Show Must Go On!” exhibits the LSPA’s appreciation for the performing arts by showcasing four forms of artistic expression — dancing, singing, acting and storytelling.
Tickets for “The Show Must Go On!” are $10, through noon on Friday, or $15 at the door.
Tickets can be purchased at www.lsparts.org or by calling LSPA at (706) 882-9909 during business hours. Box office hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Seating for this event will be limited and distanced. All seating is general admission on a first come first serve basis (according to time of ticket purchase) in accordance to COVID-19 regulations.
“The Show Must Go On!” has an estimated run time of one hour and fifteen minutes and is sponsored by CenterState Bank and Revive Contracting.
