GENEVA TUCKER HUDSON
1955-2020
Mrs. Geneva Tucker Hudson passed away Monday.
She was born Nov. 21, 1955, to the late Nathaniel Tucker and the late Mary Francis Jones in Harris County, Georgia.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She traveled and spread the gospel through song for 15 years with her sisters — The Gospel Swannettes. She was retired as a Weaver from Swift Textiles.
Survivors include her children: Demetria (Adrian) Brown and Tiffany (Reginald) Brown, both of Pine Mountain, Georgia; a devoted companion, Willie O. Cobbs of Pine Mountain, Georgia; two step-children: Rodney (Connie) Cobbs of Pooler, Georgia and Sherrilyn Cobbs of Columbus, Georgia; seven grandchildren; siblings: Annie Cheatham and Willie Mae (Eldred) Pryor of Buffalo, New York; Anna (Larry) Torbert of Opelika, Alabama, Jamie Tucker of Pine Mountain, Georgia; Ophelia (Michael) Perry of Phenix City, Alabama; Jody (Sebastian) Carter of Phenix City, Alabama; Darrell (Tonia) Tucker of Smith Station, AL; Elizabeth Champion of Dallas, Texas; Jeffery (Lolena) Parks, Vickie (Travis) Askew, Michael (Misty) Parks, Emmanuel Parks, Gabrielle Parks, Veronica Parks, Latasha Parks, Nathaniel Parks, and Quailton Parks all of Newnan, Georgia; Joseph Cameron of Virginia; Heath (Lexi) Pugh of Union Springs, Alabama; Clint (Nicole) Pugh and Caroline (Carl) Anthony of Columbus, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
The service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Smith Chapel U M Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m..
