The matchups are set.

The Troup County Parks & Recreation football playoffs began on Saturday and continued on Monday, and champions in three age groups will be crowned next week.

The Textile Bowl, which has become a fall-time tradition in Troup County, will be held at Callaway Stadium next Monday.

The 9-10-year-old championship game between the Cowboys and Bulldogs begins at 6 p.m., and the 11-12-year-old title game between the Raiders and the Red Raiders will follow at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, the 8-year-old championship game between the Titans and the Dragons will kick off at 6 p.m.

The playoffs began on Saturday with four games in West Point.

In the first game, it was the Bulldogs beating the Canes 20-0 to advance to the 9-and-10-year-old championship game.

In Saturday’s second game, the Packers beat the Steelers 25-6 to keep their season alive, but they lost to the Cowboys 30-6 on Monday night.

With that win, the Cowboys qualified for the 9-10-year-old championship game against the Bulldogs.

In the third game on Saturday, the Titans outlasted JC Colley Trucking 7-0 to earn a championship shot in the 8-and-under division against the Dragons, who had a bye.

Saturday’s final game featured a dramatic come-from-behind victory for the Raiders.

The Raiders trailed 13-0 late in the fourth quarter, but they rallied for a 14-13 win over the Ravens to earn their title shot against the Red Raiders, who had a bye.
