Mrs. Susie Gissendanner Colson, 87, of LaGrange, passed away on Oct. 31, 2020. Mrs. Colson was born on July 26, 1933, in Dothan, Alabama to the late Dr. Alton R. Gissendanner and Mayme Farmer Gissendanner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, (Ret. LTC) John Thomas Colson, Sr. Mrs. Colson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange.

Survivors include her son, David Moody and his wife Carrie; step-children, Carol Hester and her husband Russ and John T. Colson, Jr. and his wife Erin; brother, Dan Gissendanner and his wife Margaret; sister, Rosa Quattlebaum; grandchildren, Travis Moody, Christian Moody, Analisa Skumautz, Jennifer Parlsey (Mark), Erin Hester, Katie Templeton (Lee), John T. Colson, III., Emily Colson and Drew Colson; 9 great grandchildren; extended family and friends.

A family interment service will be held on Friday morning, Nov. 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. EST at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. A family memorial service will be held at 3 pm EST at the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange.
