The four teams that will represent Region 2-AAAA in the state playoffs appear to be locked in.

Where those teams will finish, and who will be at home and who will be on the road for the opening round of the state playoffs, will be decided over the next three weeks.

With three regular-season games remaining, Carver and Hardaway are leading the way with 5-0 region records, while LaGrange and Troup are tied for second at 4-1.

Columbus (2-3) and Jordan (2-4) have outside shots at making it to state, while Shaw (1-4), Spencer (1-5) and Kendrick (0-6) have been eliminated from playoff contention.

There are some key games coming up, including two massive showdowns on Nov. 13.

Hardaway and Carver will meet in a first-place showdown that night, while LaGrange and Troup will face off in a game with a lot at stake.

LaGrange also has a game with Hardaway on Nov. 19, and Troup and Carver meet on Nov. 21 in the regular-season finale.

LaGrange and Troup both need one win to guarantee a spot in the state playoffs.

It would be Troup’s fifth consecutive trip to state, while LaGrange is looking to make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

Here are the region standings along with this week’s games:.
