Mrs. Mary Alice Bankston Hubbard, 90, a lifelong resident of LaGrange gained her heavenly wings during the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at the Summerset Assisted Living Community in Atlanta, Georgia. 

She was born to the late Mr. John Henry and Mrs. Nettie Lou Bankston and reared by her grandparents, Mr. John and Mrs. Mary Davis.

She attended the LaGrange Public School System and was a 1947 graduate of East Depot High School. She briefly attended the former Clark College in Atlanta, returned to LaGrange and united in holy matrimony with The Late Mr. Wiley Hubbard on Feb. 14, 1949.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Mr. John “Moot” Bankston of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Elaine Tucker and Dr. Donna Hubbard McCree (Victor); grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers, Mr. Warner Bankston (Ethel), and Mr. Ralph C. Bankston (Carean); sister-in-law, Martha Bankston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors,  classmates, friends and caregivers.

Celebration of life services will begin with a Public Viewing at Leete Hill United Methodist Church, Friday, November 13, 2020, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The family graveside service is Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 Southview Cemetery, Hamilton Road, LaGrange, Georgia. Rev. James Woods will officiate.

The excellent care of Mrs. Hubbard is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
