Damon Demetrius Carr, 53, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
A native of LaGrange, Georgia, Damon was the son of Mrs. Myrtis Carr and the late Harvey Carr, Jr. He attended LaGrange High School and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He held employment detailing cars at Lukken Chevrolet, Mike Patton, Kia Motors as well as employment with Dunson Mills.
He leaves to cherish memories, his wife, Mrs. Jacque Carr; his loving mother, Myrtis Carr; two daughters, Taccona Patterson and Tamara Carr; two sons, Corey McLaughlin, Rantaious Carr and one Godson that he treated as his own, Demetrius McLaughlin; two brothers, Timothy Carr and Derrick Ferrell (Lashieka); a sister, Linda (Albert) Gates and several other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Damon Carr will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at 1 p.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church. Rev. Alfred Crowley will officiate. Rev. Dr. William Harris is the Pastor with interment at Southview Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary.
