The Troup High basketball teams swept past LaGrange on Thursday night.

In the girls’ game, Troup surged to a 28-4 lead at the half, and it secured a 38-23 victory to even its record at 2-2, while LaGrange fell to 0-2.

Aniya Palmer, Monyia Murphy and Alexcia Murphy each scored 10 points for Troup, and Brandasia Cofield led LaGrange with five points.

In the boys’ game, Troup outscored LaGrange 24-7 in the second quarter to take a 38-16 lead at the half, and it won 62-47.

Troup improved to 2-2, while LaGrange fell to 0-2.

KJ Tucker had a big game for Troup with 22 points, while Ricco Person added 10 points.

Javon Brown led LaGrange with 15 points, and Taylor Stephens scored 11 points.
