Ardell Shemeka Whitfield, known as “Vicki,” passed away Thursday.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1976 in Camden, Arkansas to Mr. Austell Whitfield, Jr. and Mrs. Mary Fanning Davie. Vicki graduated from Troup High School, Class of 1994, LaGrange College, and Troy University.

She united with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, LaGrange; and later New Bethel Ministries.

Survivors include her daughters: Libby and Zion; son: Marquis; son-in-law: TJ; five grandchildren; father: Junior; mother: May; stepfather: Kenneth; sister: Val; and brother: Jaree; sister-in-law: Michelle; brother-in-law: Travis; one nephew; five nieces; seven uncles: John, Gary, Carl, Marvin, Markeith, Ronald, and Meechie; three great uncles; aunts: Marie, Ann, Helen, Lounell, Regina, Sharon, and Vanessa; four great aunts; and a host of cousins and friends.

The Service will be Tuesday at 2:30 at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The excellent care of Ms. Whitfield is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
