Big road win for LaGrange

COLUMBUS – The LaGrange Grangers evened their Region 2-AAAA record at 1-1 with a 75-65 road win over Kendrick on Tuesday night.
The Grangers took the early lead, and they were ahead the rest of the way to earn the road win.
Kobe Jones led a balanced scoring effort with 22 points, and Garrett Jacobsen (14 points), Javon Brown (12 points) and Malik Hall (10 points) were also in double figures in scoring.
Avery Hill added nine points, and AJ Traylor chipped in with six points.
In Tuesday’s girls’ game, LaGrange dropped a 35-34 heart-breaker to Kendrick.
Kendrick made a free throw in the final 30 seconds to take a one-point lead, and LaGrange was unable to answer.
Corriah Williams led LaGrange with 13 points while making three 3-pointers, Brandasia Cofield added 10 points, and Nakayla Cotton made two 3-pointers and scored eight points.
