Mr. Charlie Richard Stargill passed away Sunday at Pruitt HealthCare.
He was born Aug. 11, 1941 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Jim Stargill and Willie Mae Moore Stargill.
He was educated in the Troup County School System and attended Ethel W. Kight High School. Charlie united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age.
He moved to New York as a young man, and retired from Weinberg Kosher Butcher Shop and Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation.
Survivors include his four children: Ramon Stargill, Ricky Stargill, Diane Cantey, and Dr. Daisy Catey, all of New York; eight grandchildren; a dedicated sister, Mrs. Florence Raglin; brother, Luther Stargill, Sr.; sister-in-law, Ethel Stargill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Friday from 2-3 p.m. The excellent care of Mr. Stargill is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
