Stanley F. Broome, 93, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.   Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Broome was born in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 16, 1927 to Glen David Broome and Eloyse Burroughs. He graduated from Florida State University with a Business Degree. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard serving during World War II. Mr. Broome worked as a manager for J.C. Penney until his retirement and then he worked with Kuppenheimer Clothes serving as manager until his retirement. He was a past president of the Kawanis Club while living in LaGrange. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Aileen Murphy Broome and a son-in-law Dennis Addy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eatonton.

Survivors include his children Stanley F. Broome, Jr. (Connie Muntz-Broome) of Douglasville, Sharon B. Jackson (Tom) of Watkinsville, Gail B. Jackson (Henry) of LaGrange, and Sandra B. Addy of Milledgeville; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
