LaGrange soccer teams tune up for season

The LaGrange High soccer teams tuned up for the season with preseason games against Whitewater on Friday at Callaway Stadium.

In the boys’ game, LaGrange got three goals from Pearson Knight on the way to a 5-0 victory, while LaGrange’s girls’ team lost 2-0.

LaGrange’s boys’ team led 3-0 at the half, and it added two more goals in the second half.

While Knight led the Grangers with three goals, Jacob Rogers and Tripp Hollstrom had one goal apiece.

Dominys Bonilla, Caleb Kostial, Toni Sosa, Noah Whipple and Davis Knight each had an assist, and goal keeper Cason Blackburn didn’t allow a goal.

LaGrange’s boys’ team will open the regular season on Tuesday at Starr’s Mill, while LaGrange’s girls’ team kicks things off at home against Northside-Columbus on Feb. 9.
