The Troup County School System has seen its COVID-19 numbers drop to lows not seen since early December.
In Tuesday’s update, there were 29 students with a current case of COVID-19, the lowest number since Jan. 8, the second day back in school after winter break, which could have thrown the numbers off. Before then, 29 would be the lowest since Dec. 4.
TCSS updates its COVID-19 numbers each Tuesday and Friday.
On Tuesday, there were 442 students in quarantine. Outside of Jan. 8, Tuesday marked the first time that the number of quarantined students has been below 500 since Dec. 8.
There were 12 employees with a case of COVID-19, the lower number since there were 11 employees with COVID-19 on Dec. 11. A total of 18 employees were quarantined on Tuesday, the lowest number of quarantined staff members since at least early November
