Cavaliers wrap up top spot

The Callaway Cavaliers wrapped up the number one seed for the Region 5-AA tournament with a 60-54 home win over the visiting Heard County Braves on Friday night.
The game was tied 54-54 with 1:54 to play, and the Cavaliers closed on a 6-0 run to beat the rival Braves.
Callaway improved to 6-0 in the region with two games remaining, and they’ll finish first no matter what happens the rest of the way.
Callaway will be the host team for the boys’ portion of the region tournament.
Demetrius Coleman had a big game for the Cavaliers with 24 points, Jimmie Dukes added 11 points, and Exavious Reed contributed 10 points.
