Mr. Thomas J. Scott passed away Sunday at his home in Conley, Georgia.

He was born Aug. 24, 1945, to the late Mr. George and Mrs. Mary L. Scott in Pine Mountain (Chipley), Georgia.

He graduated from Carver High School, Class of 1964, served in the United States Army, and was employed by Cox Enterprises, Inc. (AJC).

Survivors include his wife, Marva Scott; one son, Thomas J. Scott, Jr.; daughter, Marvia L. Scott; two grandsons; one great-grandson; three sisters:  Shirley Young, Columbus, Georgia; Jeanette (Major) Pater, Stone Mountain, Georgia; Dorothy (Rev. Leroy) Shepherd, LaGrange, Georgia; one brother, Rev. George (Avva) Scott, Pine Mountain, Georgia; seven sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church. The excellent care of Mr. Scott is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
