The LaGrange High and Troup High cheerleading teams returned home from Macon with top-10 finishes in the Class AAAA state finals on Tuesday.

While LaGrange finished eighth out of 16 games, Troup placed ninth, and West Laurens captured the state championship with a close win over Jefferson.

LaGrange and Troup earned their place in Macon with strong performances at the state sectional in Vidalia.

Troup finished third in the sectional and second among Region 2-AAAA games, while LaGrange was fourth in the sectional.
