Man dies after head-on collision on Lafayette Parkway

A man involved in a head-on collision Tuesday on Lafayette Parkway has died from his injuries, according to the LaGrange Police Department.
Police were notified Wednesday that Daniel Binion, 36, of LaGrange, passed away from his injuries.
According to LPD, Binion failed to maintain his lane while traveling east on Lafayette Parkway around noon Tuesday. Binion’s vehicle crossed the roadway into the westbound lane and struck a box truck head-on.
The press release said that Binion and the occupants of the other vehicle all sustained injuries and were taken to the Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus.
Binion was found to be in possession of a large amount of illegal narcotics, including Xanax, marijuana and methamphetamine, according to the LPD press release.
