LPD looks for man who shot into residence

The LaGrange Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly shot into a residence on Thursday evening.

LPD officers responded to 105 Brown Street in reference to shots fired into a residence at 6:40 p.m. They met with the victim, who said he had been engaged in a physical altercation at his neighbor’s residence with an unknown, elderly black man driving a white pickup truck.  The man in the white pickup truck, later identified as 69-year-old Carl Putmon Sr., then left the area.

A short time later, the victim told police that the individual returned and fired three shots at his residence while he was inside.

After speaking with witnesses, the LPD was able to identify the suspect as Putmon.
