Mr. Alton Eugene Harris passed away Tuesday.

He was born Oct. 4, 1954, to the late Jessie Lee and Iris Lee Harris in Heard County, Georgia.

Alton graduated from LaGrange High School, served in the U.S. Army; and received his Welding Degree from West Georgia Tech.

He was previously employed by Kia.

Survivors include his siblings:  Gail McCord, Michael Harris, Norman Harris, and Larry Favors; step-son, Gwardrian (Tanya) Sims; aunts:  Tonia Carter and Betty Hill; uncle, John Hill.

The Service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his sister, at 615 Cottage Lane; and brother at 1304 Lindsey Street.

The excellent care of Mr. Harris is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
