Mrs. Michelle Sims Morris, 48, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan.

Mrs. Morris was born April 2, 1972, in Newnan, and was a lifelong resident of Troup County. She earned a Bachelors degree from LaGrange College, a Masters degree from Columbus State University, and was a board certified school counselor. She was employed by the Troup County School System for 24 years, was a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange.

Survivors include her sons, Trevor Crawford Morris and Gunnar Christian Morris, both of LaGrange; parents, Dennis and Brenda Sims of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Chris and Susan Sims of Moreland.

The funeral service was 2 p.m., Monday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.  Rev. Brad Thompson officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
