Man arrested, charged with numerous drug offenses after search of residence on Horace King Street

A man was arrested on Horace King Street Monday for numerous drug charges after several different illegal narcotics were found.

According to a Troup County Sheriff’s Office press release, Thomas Lamar Person was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking ecstasy, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule I narcotic, possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, and three charges of felony theft by receiving.

The arrest occurred after narcotics investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the LaGrange Police Department Special Investigations Unit, executed a search warrant at 104 Horace King Street in LaGrange. According to the press release, during the search of the residence, investigators located 49.63 grams of cocaine, 43.24 grams of ecstasy, 2 pounds of marijuana, 21 grams of methamphetamine, and 28 tablets of Xanax. In addition to the narcotics, 3 stolen firearms were also located, according to TCSO.
