Mrs. Shirley Ann Wilkes Womack, 82, of LaGrange, reached her Heavenly reward on May 15, 2021. Mrs. Womack was born on July 11, 1938 in Albertville, Alabama to the late Marcus Eubanks Wilkes and Dona Myrthelene Wilkes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Parris.

In addition to caring for the needs of her family, she worked for many years at LaGrange Plastics. Mrs. Womack was a loving mother, grandmother and faithful help-mate to her husband throughout many years of Ministry.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Lamar Womack; son, John Womack; daughter, Stephanie Boyd (Randy); brother, Dan Wilkes (Connie); sister, Barbara Johnson; grandson, Ryan Boyd; extended family and a loving Gray Hill Baptist Church family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Gray Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Farr officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Gray Hill Baptist Church from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gray Hill Baptist Church.  Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
