Jane Weathers Gore, 99, widow of Edwin M. Gore, quietly passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. Gore, her father, Dr. Bowden Weathers, her mother, Mrs. Ava Weathers, and her sister, Mrs. Gwen Lott.

She is survived by her three sons, Joe Gore (Alice) of Brunswick, Georgia, Bill Gore of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dr. Tom Gore (Selma) of LaGrange.

She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Lisa Zirkle (Roland) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Thom Gore (Amy) of Greer, South Carolina, Thomas Gore (Angela) of Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Andrew Gore of Atlanta, Georgia, and Elizabeth Gore of Newnan, Georgia. She is also survived by six
great‐grandchildren.

She was a native of Oakfield, Georgia, and after earning her B.A. degree from LaGrange College, she was employed in the laboratory of the Georgia Department of Public Health in Atlanta. She was a member of the First Baptist Church On The Square.

She married Lt. Edwin Gore in 1943 while he was serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Shadowlawn Cemetery, LaGrange, Georgia with the Rev. Paul Blair officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church On The Square.
