On Sunday, June 27, Nutwood Winery, located at 1339 Upper Big Springs Road in LaGrange, will host an outdoor concert, “Music in the Vineyard,” according to Nutwood Winery’s website. Tickets cost $15 for ages 13 and up. Kids 12 and under can get in free. Parking will open at 1 p.m., doors will open for entry at 1:30 p.m., and music artists will start performing at 2 p.m. The event will end at 7 p.m.

Local music artists will include Baylee Waller, Aaron Gibson, WINOS, and The Vegabonds. Food vendors will include Drive-by Tacos, Claws Seafood Market, Beacon Brewing Co., and Butter’d Udder, according to winery co-owner Neil Liechty. There will also be craft vendors, wine slushies, beer and wine and non-alcoholic options.

“We’re trying to keep it very local. Local vendors, not people who buy something and just resell it but people that actually make things,” Liechty said.

This upcoming concert will be the third concert held this year. Previous concerts were held in April and May.

“We just decided because of the popularity of it to do it in July, August, and September. So. it will be six Sundays a year … It will be the last Sunday of each month,” Liechty said.

Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite. To do so, go to nutwoodwinery.com/upcoming-events, scroll down to the Music in the Vineyard event, and click “Buy Tickets” in small text on the lower left. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the day of the event. Nutwood Winery prefers cash for quicker entry but will accept cards.

This is a rain or shine event. Trees will provide shade.

“We’ve got probably 80 big trees that are 200 years old, so regardless of the weather, as far as the heat, you’re about 20 degrees cooler under the trees. So, it’s among the trees. It makes it really pleasant even in the hot time of summer,” Liechty said.

Masks will not be required.
