Eckleberry, longtime LDN sports editor, takes new position
Kevin Eckleberry, longtime sports editor of The LaGrange Daily News, has left his position at the newspaper and accepted a job with a new local magazine titled “Sideline Pass.”
“We thank him for his years of service to The LaGrange Daily News,” said Publisher and President Daniel Evans.
Eckleberry was announced Monday as the editor of the new magazine, and his name was featured on a promotional cover released to announce the new publication.
“We remain committed to providing high-quality, community-focused sports coverage and will continue to do so as we move forward,” Evans said.
“As a former sports editor, I know the importance of the sports in our community and to our readers.
“Whether it be high school football on Friday nights or youth baseball tournaments on the weekend, we will continue to provide excellent coverage and tell the stories of all in our community who enjoy competing.”
