Troup County Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Fourth of July celebration Sunday at Pyne Road Park.
The family-friendly event will feature live music and local vendors who will sell food at the event, according to a press release from Troup County.
Last year’s firework show was rescheduled for August following COVID-19 precautions and restrictions put in place by Gov. Brian Kemp.
This year the Troup County Parks and Recreation have the honor to host the event on its intended holiday, Caroline Johnson, communications manager for the Troup County Board of Commissioners, said.
“We’re excited to actually hold the celebration on the holiday and masks will not be mandated,” Johnson said.
The gates will open at 3 p.m. with an entry fee of $10 per vehicle. Live music featuring Eley Road starts at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin at dark.
The event will be sponsored by Jackson Services.
